Types of Membership

Producers

These members are actively involved in farming and have an interest in canola. They are entitled to vote at membership meetings, sit on association committees and be elected to the USCA Board of Directors. Their annual membership fee is $25.

Industry Members

They include domestic business organizations or individuals of U.S. residence interested in canola and the betterment of the industry. They are entitled to vote at membership meetings, sit on association committees and have representation on the board. Industry members with a board seat pay $10,000 annually and $5,000 without.

Associate Members

They include any domestic or foreign business, organization or individual interested in canola and communication with the association. They are not entitled to vote at membership meetings nor can be represented on the board. Their annual membership fee is $500.

Contributors

These are domestic or foreign businesses, organizations or individuals that contribute financially to the USCA. Contributions may be designated for promotion, market development or research. Contributors are not entitled to vote at membership meetings, sit on association committees or be represented on the board. Such members select their own annual contribution amount.

Students

They must enrolled in a U.S. agronomy program and have an interest in canola. They are not entitled to vote at membership meetings nor can be represented on the board. Their annual membership fee is $15.

Honorary Members

They are designated by the USCA Board of Directors as members for life in honor of outstanding service to the association and/or canola industry. They are entitled to all membership privileges except voting rights and no longer required to pay dues.
